United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone (UBA SL) has secured a major double win at the 10th African Ovation Awards held on Saturday 25 April 2026 at the Radisson Blu Garden in Freetown, further strengthening its reputation as one of the country’s leading financial institutions.
The bank walked away with the Corporate Excellence Award for Best Bank of the Year, a recognition that reflects its consistent performance, customer driven services, and growing impact within Sierra Leone’s financial sector. In addition to the institutional recognition, the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Alhajie Samoura, was honored with the Best Corporate Leader of the Year award.
