Magistrate Peter Gogra of the Pademba Road Court No. 6 yesterday Monday (28 February 2022) issued a bench warrant to arrest the Senior Human Resource Manager at the Ministry of Lands and Country Planning, George Koyama, for allegedly assaulting Chief Building Inspector (CBI), Marian Tutu Salome Vandi.

The bench warrant was issued after the matter was called for hearing but the accused was absent in the circumstance, hence police prosecutor Inspector Musu Kpulun applied for a bench warrant for the accused person.

Mrs Marian Tutu Salome Vandi the complainant was present in court, the accused was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 against the Person’s Act 1816.

According to the police, accused George Koyama, Senior HR Manager at the Ministry of Lands and Country Planning, on Tuesday 9 November 2921 at Youyi Building Brookfields in Freetown allegedly assaulted Marian Tutu Salome Vandi in a manner thereby occasioning actual bodily harm.

For the absence of the accused persons, Magistrate Peter Gogra adjourned the matter till 16 March 2022.
