The back-to-back Champion of the Sierra Leone Premier League, Bo Rangers has made it to the next rounds of the CAF Preliminary rounds after defeating LISCR football club by a goal to nil in Liberia.
The match took place on Sunday 27 August 2023, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Stadium in Liberia, after Bo Rangers had been forced to a 1:1 draw in the first leg at the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo.
Bo Rangers made it to the second rounds of the competition after Suffian Kalokoh begged the only goal in the first five minutes of play. The Bo Ranger forward early goal sealed a 2:1 aggregate win against the Champion of Liberia.
The Elephant boys of Bo will now luck horns with CR Belouizdad of Algeria in the second Preliminary rounds in the mid-September. The CR Belouizdad eliminated Bo Rangers in the CAF Inter club top-tier competition last, year and after this draw, many say this could be a Revenge Match for Bo Rangers.
Their fantastic performance in the first league has put Bo Rangers one steps closer to qualifier for the group stage of this year’s CAF Champion League. A win for Bo Rangers will see the team play the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League.
