Following their victory against Kamboi Eagles in the FA cup rounds of 32 and while returning from their milestone victory from Kenema, Foday Kargbo a player of Bullom Stars FC lost his life in a fatal accident along the Bo-Freetown highway.
Bullom Stars FC is a First Division team from Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom North-West Region are mourning the death of their sensational player, Foday Kargbo, who was a pivotal player for his team before his Death.
The devastating accident that took the life of the 17-year-old commonly known as Matwork is a tough and rough news for not only the Bullom team but also the entire northern region football association.
The impact of this heart breaking event has been compounded by the critical condition of the head coach and other team members who were also involved in the accident in the faithful day.
Bullom Stars FC had achieved a significant feat during the 2021 SLFA playoff finals. The Bullom Stars narrowly missed out in Port Loko city, a match that earned Bai Bureh warriors a chance to the Sierra Leone Premier League.
The momentum of the team’s recent triumph in the FA Cup with the heart breaking loss of one of their own has cast a shadow over the Bullom community. The joy of their victory against Kamboi Eagles has been overshadowed by the grief and sorrow of bidding farewell to a promising young player and friend.
