Central University in Mile 91, Sierra Leone, is set to introduce new courses in nursing and other health-related fields. This development comes after a delegation from the Nursing Council in Sierra Leone conducted an assessment of the University’s facilities on April 4th, 2023. The assessment was carried out to ensure that the University met the necessary standards and regulations required for the delivery of quality nursing education

The university will offer a Bachelor’s degree program in Nursing, as well as courses in State Registered Nurse (SRN), Community Health Officer (CHO), and other related programs.
The introduction of these courses marks a significant milestone in the University’s commitment to providing quality education and will equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to tackle the healthcare challenges facing the country. By expanding its academic offerings, Central University is taking a proactive stance in addressing the critical shortage of healthcare professionals in Sierra Leone.

The management of Central University is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the necessary resources are made available to support the successful implementation of these courses. The University’s leadership is passionate about delivering world-class education and is dedicated to producing competent professionals who will make a tangible impact in the healthcare sector.

Aspiring nursing and healthcare professionals should seize this opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their chosen fields. With the new courses set to be available for enrolment in the upcoming academic year, students have the chance to be part of a transformative change in the healthcare sector in Sierra Leone.

The launch of new courses in nursing and other health-related fields at Central University represents a significant step towards building a sustainable healthcare system in Sierra Leone.

The University’s commitment to excellence and innovation is a testament to its dedication to shaping the future of healthcare education and producing competent professionals who will make a positive impact on society.” Mr Muckson Sesay Sr said.

Central University in Mile 91 has been making positive impacts in promoting government’s efforts to promote quality education in Sierra Leone.
