In a significant demonstration of international medical solidarity, the 8th Chinese Military Medical Expert Group, deployed from China, joined forces with Leone Rock Metal Group to deliver crucial free healthcare services to residents of Simiria Chiefdom, Sierra Leone. The outreach, centered in Sokoya village, provided a vital lifeline to communities with severely limited access to professional medical care.
The initiative saw an overwhelming response, with over 120 villagers from Sokoya and neighboring settlements receiving comprehensive medical consultations, essential treatments, and vital health screenings. Crucially, all consultations and medications were provided completely free of charge by the Chinese military doctors. This direct support was warmly welcomed by local chiefs and residents alike.
The Chinese military doctors, traveling thousands of miles from China, provided expert diagnosis and compassionate care for a wide spectrum of conditions. Their dedicated efforts addressed cases ranging from malaria, injuries, and cellulitis to epilepsy, fractures, hypertension, oral tumors, joint inflammation, spinal deformities, anemia, cataracts, and reproductive health issues.
