Over 200 media professionals yesterday, Wednesday 25th March 2026 attended the “Chop and Chat” Media Engagement – a flagship corporate event organized by Sierra Leone’s premier mobile money solutions, Afrimoney. The event saw the official launch of Afrimoney’s revolutionary “Tap 2 Pay” card – a new digital payment method that lets people pay for goods and services by simply tapping the cards on a POS terminal.

Billed as the largest gathering of media professionals since the beginning of this year, the event brought together major players in the country’s media industry to also discuss Afrimoney’s mobile money services and how these services would translate into opportunities for business growth and improved service delivery.

Consequently, the engagement apprised members of the Fourth Estate on the role digital financial services like Afrimoney play in driving economic growth and development.
