Hon Jamesina King has sentenced twenty-four – 24 years old Ibrahim Jalloh to ten (10) years imprisonment for correction.
Jalloh was charged to court for the offence of sexual penetration with a minor.
The accused pleaded guilty to the offence before he was sentenced. He told the court that this has taught him a lesson which he promised not to repeat his action if given pardon, attributing his action to spiritual manipulations.
After taking due considerations and relying on the medical report justifying sexual penetration and considering the age of the accused, Hon. Justice Jamesina King sentenced the accused accordingly to ten – 10 years imprisonment.
She warned the police to continuing monitoring the underage girl, as she is a future leader of tomorrow.
Also at the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1, presided over by Magistrate Mark Ngegba, sent two on remand at the Male Correctional Center on the allegation that accused persons received money by false pretence.
According to the particular of offence, the accused persons received over Forty million Leones on the pretext they will help ladies travel to Canada.
Each of the ladies disbursed over Twenty Million Leones. The matter has been prosecuted by A.S.P. Mansaray while lawyer J. J. Foday is among the lawyers for the complainant.
The two accused persons, Morris Lamin Koroma and Suliaman Mufiti are currently detained at the Correctional Center.
