Grassroots Shout from the Rooftop…  Hon. Minkailu Mansaray APC Next Chairman!

All People’s Congress (APC) grassroots across in the country are calling on hon. Minkailu Mansaray to take the seat of the party’s Chairman as he is and has always been there for the party.

According to grassroots supporters of the APC, they want Hon Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray for next APC National Chairman because he does not only have passion for the party, but also for the grassroots and general membership of the APC.

According to them, Hon Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray is always present to intervene when members of the party are arrested. Together with the former National Secretary General, Alhaji Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh, Hon Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray go to police stations and court rooms to bail APC members and supporters from detentions.

There is no doubt that Hon Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray is respected and held in high esteem by the rank and file of the APC and even beyond, having gone through the rank and file of the party himself, starting from active APC student leader to National APC Youth League, to the Regional and later to the highest decision making body of the party the National Advisory Council (NAC) to that of the National Deputy Chairman and Leader.

He was a member of the APC Youth League, during his youth days in the East of Freetown in 2002, He was elected Member of Parliament under the APC party and remained a Member of Parliament until 2007, when the APC became the ruling party, after winning the 2007 presidential election, and the APC also won majority of seats in Parliament in the 2007 Parliamentary election.

As passionate as he is about APC party affairs, Hon Mansaray is also very passionate about the lives of APC members and supporters. He knocks at everyone’s door to render help of any kind, to sympathize and console bereaved members, to join in the happiness of wedded couples and any other joyous occasion being hosted by APC comrades. He is always there for the grassroots.

Indeed, Hon Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray is the best choice for steering the APC ship as National Chairman, considering his efforts in the opposition to ensure that he always preaches peace and bridges gaps within the party.

Recently he organized a peace treaty between all aspiring candidates for the flag bearer position of the APC where he ensured that all the aspiring candidates spoke openly and frankly and there was no animosity or acrimony as Minkailu Mansaray encouraged them all to be unified even though they were in a competition because at the end of the day whoever emerges flag bearer becomes flag bearer of the APC and it is victory for the APC.

Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray is a Sierra Leonean politician, businessman. He is an experienced career businessman in the insurance industry who has worked many years as an executive at the Sierra Leone National Insurance Company with imprint in this sector.

He served as a Member of Parliament from 2002 to 2007, when the APC became the ruling party. He was Minister of Labour from 2007 to 2010; and was Minister of Mines and Natural Resources in 2010. In 2012, he was elected Deputy Chairman and Leader of the All People’s Congress (APC) party.

Mansaray is a senior and long-term member of the All People’s Congress (APC) party and is a member of the APC National Advisory Council, a powerful body within the APC, that is made up of the most senior members of the APC party. Mansaray is a close ally and friend of former President Ernest Bai Koroma, with whom he worked with at the Sierra Leone National Insurance Company.

He is a devout Muslim who has gone to the Islamic Pilgrimage – Hajj, one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

A strong south-easterner said at this juncture that all the APC needs is a leader who is passionate about the APC winning the 2023 elections and who has the clout, experience, and leadership skills in bringing all together.
