52-year-old Momoh Mansaray, a drug kingpin operating the biggest ghetto at Kola Tick community, in the East-end of Freetown, has been nabbed by the Harbour Police Division in an intelligence-led raid supported by members of that community whose children and other family members have been adversely hit by the lethal Kush drug.
Alex Kargbo, 28, the main sales agent of Momoh Mansaray, was also arrested during the raids with quantity of Kush and Cannabis Sativa (jamba). Several ghettos including those at Kamara Bar off Blackhall Road, Metzger Street off Alpha Morlai, and Culvert at Kanikay were also brought down by the Harbour Police Division.
“……these raids will continue until all the ghettos in my area of responsibility are demolished and the drug lords brought to justice,” promised the determined Local Unit Commander of the Harbour Police Division. In his address to the on looking members of the public, LUC Kpulun craved the indulgence of the communities affected by the Kush drug to “cooperate with the Police in the fight against drug abuse”. The suspects and the exhibit drugs are in Police custody.
