UBA-SL Easter-Ramandan Promotion…  UBA-SL Cares for its Customers

As part of their corporate social responsibility in the society, and as a ways of sharing the Easter-Ramandan Bonanza with their customers across the country, the United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone (UBA-SL) has once again showed that the Bank care for its customers by launching their Easter-Ramanda Promotion on Friday 22 March 2024.

This remarkable Easter- Ramadan Promotions took place at the bank’s headquarters Charlotte Street in Freetown. Welcoming all present in the launching, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at UBA-SL, Sallieu Sesay, noted that they are in a historic month; a month that has a combinations of both Easter and Ramanda festival and that was why they deem it necessary to put smiles on the faces of their customers. He noted that as Bank, they don’t only believe in making profit but also they always tried to give back to the society.

He added that the Remittance Promotion is not only meant for UBA customers but it’s also for non UBA customers in the country once the individual received remittance code from Ria, Western Union, Money Gram, BnB and AfriCash and the individual used any of their UBA branches in Sierra Leone the individual would be a beneficiary of the Easter-Ramanda promotion from UBA-SL.

Mr. Sesay reiterated that UBA-SL Easter-Ramadan Promotion require customers of UBA-SL and non-customers to receive Money Worldwide from UBA-SL branches across the country and get rewarded with exciting gift items from the Bank.

According to the Head of Retail Banking, Anita Thomas, this is the time people are sending monies for their loved ones across the world and UBA-SL wanted to add more smiles on the faces of people in the country, adding that whenever someone has any code to cash out let the person visit any of the bank branches to do cash out the people would definitely going to collect something irrespective of the amount the individual cashed out.

She said that they have items like: Rice, cooking oil, wrist band and a brand-new UBA-SL key holder are now up for grab by any customer who received from oversea through UBA-SL products. Madam Thomas confirmed that they have categories that someone could cash out and the person would take home with certain items, but she said no matter the amount individual received the person would get something from UBA-SL.  She admitted that they got their branches at: Waterloo, Lumley, St. John, Kissy Road, Cline Town, Wellington, Bo, Kenema, FBC, Adonkia and their head office at Charlotte Street in Freetown. She explained that whenever customers receive cash via any of UBA-SL branches mentioned they would receive special package from UBA-SL.

She furthered that remittance customers would be always prioritize in all of their branches, noting that no matter the line in the banks, as long a customer went to do the remittance service the person wouldn’t join any line to do such service and they would attend to the individual as soon as possible.

She said that the Remittance Promotions would start from March and end in April this year, and maybe they could extend the time based on the reaction from the public.

Making his presentation, the Head of the Remittance UBA-SL, Anthony Sam, said this is not the first time UBA is coming with this kind of promotion to the people, adding that it has been done on a regular basis and they had always ensure they made their customers happy over years and this year is not an exception.

He said that the Bank offers five major remittances products and these products includes: AfriCash, Ria, Money Gram, Western Union, and BnB, adding that those were the products the Bank offers and said whenever you individual received any of those codes from their loves one the person should visit the nearest UBA branch to do their transaction and get some items from UBA Easter-Ramandan promotion.

He admonished that the AfriCash is the UBA owns platforms and they’re also serving as an agent for the other Money transaction or products.

“AfriCash is UBA proprietary money transfer products introduced in April 2019. It’s available in UBA business offices. It’s targeted primarily at individual account holders and non-account holders of the Bank. Monies can be sent or receives from any UBA office agent’s location in UBA subsidiaries in Africa. It services are available in various forms which are cash collectors, direct credit to beneficiaries accounts in UBA Plc,” he stated.

He also explained how individuals would pick up or collect cash from their services. He said to pick up cash from any of their branches the customers were required to do the following: The customer needs to provide a valid ID card, adding that the acceptable means for ID card for remittance products includes: Sierra Leone driver’s license, Sierra Leone voters ID cards. Sierra Leone National ID card/slips, Sierra Leone passports and International passport and finally the person could fill in that particular products form and submit to the teller for payment.
