Hon. Abdul Kargbo, the Honourable Member of Parliament and Minority Leader in the Parliament of Sierra Leone, is currently representing the country at the high-level meeting of the West African Health Organisation (WAHO) in Cape Verde.
In addition to representing Sierra Leone, Hon. Kargbo is attending in his capacity as a distinguished member of the ECOWAS Parliament, where he serves on the Steering Committee. His participation underscores Sierra Leone’s ongoing commitment to regional health governance, cooperation, and integration within the ECOWAS framework.
The WAHO Steering Committee meeting brings together key stakeholders from across West Africa to discuss health priorities, evaluate progress on regional health initiatives, and strengthen policy coordination among ECOWAS member states. Hon. Kargbo’s involvement ensures that Sierra Leone’s voice is strongly represented in shaping regional health strategies and promoting collective action in response to shared health challenges.
This engagement reflects Hon. Kargbo’s broader dedication to advancing public health, fostering regional solidarity, and ensuring that the ECOWAS Parliament plays an active and constructive role in guiding the health agenda for West Africa.
