By Sheriff Cole

Sierra Leone has elected a new President, Julius Maada Bio. Ever since the pronouncement of the opposition leader Mr. Bio, several people who supporters of the then are ruling party All Peoples Congress have been chased out of their homes in the Southeastern part of the country, which is predominantly in control by the newly elected party, Sierra Leone Peoples Party.

One such person is Alusine Deen Kamara from Bo.

Alusine Deen Kamara because of his surname has been considered as a relative of the candidate of the then ruling party and his life has been put on the line.

Hiding in a bush after his entire house has been shattered, Alusine has been forced to leave his home town of BO where supporters of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party had declared him wanted.

Speaking to this medium from his hideout, he said he was attacked by 12 midnight beaten mercilessly save for one of his friends who came in his aid to protect him from the hands of thugs of the now ruling party.

Alusine according to a close friend was spotted on the 9th June 2018 while he went for graduation at the Njala University where he was studying for the past four years. A group of cult members loyal to the now ruling party declared him wanted for murder. Since that period, family sources confirmed they have not heard from him.

Alusine’s story is more pathetic with the reality that even his entire family was wiped out by the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone in 2014.
