Hackathon Pitch Night is an event where students explore their different talents.

The hackathon pitch night saw eleven teams from different campuses explode their talents in software wherein MMTU and the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology emerged as a winner of the first prize the sum of NLe 30,000, the Second Place NLe20,000 and third NLe10, 000 were both won with other certificates by MMTU.
Pitchers were accorded eight minutes to make their presentations on their ideas, after which the judges critique them and asked questions on their various presentations.
Hawa Kallon team leader who emerged as a winner disclosed that their team developed a website and a mobile application wherein people can log in and talk to lab technicians which will enable the general public to know about diseases.
Kallon expressed delight over the sum of money given to them saying that the money they won will be a starting point for them to develop an advanced website.
Vice Chancellor and Principal of MMTU, Dr. Philp John Kanu described the event as an opportunity for students to create jobs for themselves, adding that with the skills they have acquired, they will not search for jobs after graduating.
He thanked the organizers for the competition and expressed optimism that the opportunity will be extended to lectures.
