The Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA), under the dynamic leadership of Director General Ing. Alfred Jalil Momodu, has made significant strides in addressing road infrastructure challenges across the country. In collaboration with the Pavifort Road Construction Company, the SLRA is working tirelessly to repair roads damaged during the recent rainy season.

Key achievements include the complete restoration of the Masiaka to Bo Highway. Travelers can now enjoy a smooth journey, as the treacherous potholes that once plagued the route are no more. This critical highway, which serves as a major artery for trade and transportation, is now fully rehabilitated, enhancing both safety and convenience.

Township roads, including those in the capital, Freetown, are also undergoing extensive upgrades. The construction teams are working day and night to ensure timely completion, with visible progress already transforming areas like Lumley. The sight of construction crews operating under floodlights is a testament to their dedication.

These infrastructure improvements are expected to boost economic activities, reduce travel time, and improve the quality of life for residents. Under Ing. Momodu’s stewardship, the SLRA has demonstrated a clear commitment to addressing the country’s road network challenges and fostering sustainable development.

The public and stakeholders have widely applauded these efforts, recognizing them as a significant step toward modernizing Sierra Leone’s infrastructure.
