Some weak and blind politicians, lacking vision and leadership, have resorted to attacking the personality of a credible, disciplined, and reputable leader Dr. Ibrahim Bangura. Instead of presenting ideas or policies, they continue their smear campaign, targeting a man whose integrity and hard work speak volumes.

These political desperados have launched repeated verbal assaults on Dr. Bangura during their declaration programs, on public platforms, and through the toxic voices of misguided bloggers. Having failed to dent his popularity and credibility, they have now turned to Ibrahim Will Kamara, known online as “Adebayor” a man clearly lacking intellectual depth, who is being used to mislead their gullible followers.

Qcell Qcell Qcell

An audio making rounds on social media contains baseless accusations from this myopic Adebayor. He falsely claims that Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has never worked for the APC but only for himself, that the APC sponsored his education, that he was involved in immoral acts at Fourah Bay College (FBC), that the ruling SLPP holds damaging video evidence against him and that he is the architect of the National Reformation Movement (NRM), with a camp full of “crooks.”

These claims are not only slanderous they are completely unfounded. Let it be made clear to Adebayor and his visionless paymasters, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has a spotless record at Fourah Bay College. Numerous students who passed through his mentorship hold him in the highest regard not only as a lecturer but as a father figure who selflessly devoted his time to their academic and moral development. Dr. Ibrahim Bangura’s record is clean both professionally and personally. He is known for academic excellence, integrity, and moral discipline.

Dr. Ibrahim Bangura’s commitment to the APC dates back to when he was just 15 years old. He founded “Rising Sun Children of the APC” and played a major role in reviving APC’s presence at FBC, where he helped secure and sustain the party’s influence. From supporting the APC flagbearer between 2002–2007, to leading strategic campaigns, to helping the party regain power in 2007. Dr. Bangura’s contributions are deep-rooted.

In recent elections, he served on several high-level committees, including those responsible for drafting manifestos and devising strategic campaign plans. When the NRM posed internal challenges to the party, it was Dr. Ibrahim Bangura whom the APC leadership called upon, because they knew he was the only person capable of uniting both sides. He delivered.

Adebayor, you claim that Dr. Bangura never worked for the party or empowered its youth. Yet, in the same breath, you admit he was among those who helped draft the new APC constitution. How ironic. Dr. Ibrahim Bangura’s empowerment efforts extend beyond the APC. He has touched countless lives across Sierra Leone, mentoring and uplifting young people regardless of political affiliation. His brand of leadership is about unity, growth, and transformation. That is why, in the face of vicious attacks, he chose to respond with his “Heal, Unite, and Build” agenda, a mature, visionary response that shows his commitment to national progress.

If you, Adebayor, and your visionless paymasters have no constructive vision or innovative ideas to offer the people, it would be wiser to take up farming than continue to engage in petty, baseless attacks. Enough of this “munku politics.”

Any attempt to tarnish the reputation of Dr. Ibrahim Bangura will be met with fierce resistance. The Consortium of DIB Media Gurus will respond with heavy, factual, and strategic media counterattacks. We will protect and defend the legacy and integrity of Dr. Ibrahim Bangura with unwavering resolve.
