National Elections Watch (NEW) has used the Process and Result Verification for Transparency (PRVT) method to question the credibility of the June 24, 2023, presidential results, which was announced Tuesday 27 June by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL).
NEW chairperson, Mercella Samba-Sesay made the statement in the domestic election observer’s June 27, 2023, Independent Non-Partisan Assessment of Presidential Election Results.
According to NEW, the PRVT method is very important in electioneering. “PRVT is an advanced and proven election monitoring methodology used by citizen election observation groups around the world that allows for the independent and impartial assessment of the quality of election day processes and the official results.
