This advertisement serves to notify interested or affected persons/parties of the public disclosure workshop of the Environmental Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) study conducted for Sewa Mining (SL) Limited‘s small-scale mining Project in Imperi Chiefdom, Bonthe District.
Sewa Mining (SL) Limited plans to apply for a small-scale concession with Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC) deposits. The project will use conventional load and haul methods with equipment such as 20 to40-tonne excavators, front loaders, water pumps, spirals, and 40-tonne dump trucks. Mining will not involve drilling and blasting. After mining, pits will be backfilled, overburden and top soil will be restored, and suitable vegetation will be planted.
In line with the Environmental Protection Agency Sierra Leone (EPA-SL) Act 2022, the ESHIA process, conducted by MOHAPEWA Co. Ltd., aims to minimize negative environmental and social impacts. The ESHIA process began in February 2024, with the report submitted in July 2024
The ESHIA report will be presented to stakeholders during public disclosure sessions. The stakeholder engagement workshop will take place at10:00 a.m.at Junction la Community Barry on Thursday, August 8.
The report is now available for reference purposes till Wednesday, 7th August 2024 at the following locations:

Stakeholders or interested persons/parties are invited to participate in the consultation process at the mentioned locations. Your input and any issues or insights that you may have regarding the Project will be valuable. Comments can be submitted verbally at the stakeholders’ workshop or in written format. Written comments must be posted to MOHAPEWA Ltd. At 10 Howe Street, First Floor Santanno House Freetown, or via email or telephone to the below addresses.
