Amidst high cost of essential commodities especially staple food rice, two ships of rice consignments imported from somewhere in South East Asia by members of the opposition All People Congress APC, is allegedly reported to have been prevented from docking at the Queen Elizabeth II Quay in Freetown.
The shipments, which were originally meant for sale at a cheaper cost in Sierra Leone, are purported to have been diverted to Guinea, where the ships were allowed to dock.
The allegedly diverted gesture was provided by members and friends of the APC to cushion the economic situation currently encapsulating the land that we love, our Sierra Leone.
If the allegation is anything to go by, then the Government is accused of not being patriotic but bent on causing untold hardship on the people of this country with the exhibition of self-importance to screen insensitivity in the cause of failure to address the dare needs of the suffering masses except the SLPP is telling the nation that pride in hunger is preferable than death in abundance of food.
