The Government of President Bio has deliberately refused the presidential candidate of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara the chance to rest after the just concluded controversial June 24 polls.
Following intervention from organizations with international and regional status to defer all corruption and political cases, the Sierra Leone Judiciary had long before now scheduled 14th July 2023 for Dr. Samura Kamara to appear the High Court again.
Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara will continue his appearance before Hon. Justice Adrian Fisher for the ongoing Sierra Leone’s New York Chancery Building matter.
The matter was adjourned by the High Court judge, Justice Fisher to enable APC Presidential candidate an ample time to participates in the June24th elections.
Now that the electoral events in the country over, Dr. Samura Kamara and six others will continue to face trial in the ongoing charges related to corruption during his tenure as Sierra Leone’s Foreign Minister.
According to the charges, Dr. Samura Kamara is standing trial for misappropriation of public funds and misleading the principal an allegation he had long denied.
