The cooperate Affairs Manager of Sierra Leone Brewery Limited Foday Daboh on Wednesday 27th March 2024, informed the media that despite the significant economic challenges SLBL had no plans to cease operations in the country.
Daboh who was responding to speculations regarding the company potential Shout down at their Wellington estate, Freetown. According to him despite the difficult economic challenges the company remain resilient, as evidenced by the history of navigation through rough times such as the rebel war, Ebola, and the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are committed to overcome the challenges and continue to serve their customers and communities”.
Foday Daboh further that Sierra Leone Brewery Limited has benefited from government’s support for sorghum production, which sets us apart, However, scaling up has presented challenges.
He said in terms of investment, Brewery have put considerable resources in to this initiative. He informed the media that Sierra Leone Brewery Limited is a partner of growth, also part of Sierra Leone economic community for 61 years.
“We believed in the potential of Sierra Leone on market and commit to support the economic growth and development in the country, said Foday Daboh.”
He added that SLBL remain committed to the mission of providing quality and affordable beverages to their customers across the country, “I want to say Sierra Leone Brewery is actively investing in and strengthening its local production capabilities and into human capital development in Sierra Leone”. He concluded that the business climate is very challenging.
