State Of The Art University Welcomes Over 200 Students.

About 300 Students Enrolled In Central University in Mile 91.
The matriculation ceremony took place on Saturday the 28th January 2023 at Central University Open Space.

The event that was graced by many Spectators was chaired by Gibril Abass Sesay (Africanus) whose role in the university is the Director of Quality Assurance.
Mr Gibril admonished parents to advise their children to abstain from all illegal students groups on campus. He said that Central University in Mile 91 is a university that is known for its uniqueness and quality standards in ensuring the 21st century learning system and that the University has no room for any cult practices.

In his address, Professor Bob Karakay Conteh – Vice Chancellor of Central University said that the ceremony was to admit new students to sing the University Register so as to become members of Central University and for life.
Speaking to the matriculants, Professor Bob admonished them to respect the laws of the University as Central University is a little bit more different from other learning institutions in Sierra Leone.
He further adviced parents to support their children not only in finances but also to see their children to go through the university.
Professor Bob admitted that the sacrifices parents did to send their children to Central University is the best decision. The University will continue to provide all the available facilities to enhance quality services to match standards of 21st century of learning system.
He also spoke on some of the things that will benefit students at Central University in Mile 91.

“Today you are going to sign the University Register and you will be given a university number which will be unique and that number will be as evidence to showcase that you are a student of Central University.” Said Professor Bob.

Professor Bob also encouraged all matriculants to allow the university to go through them as the university will make sure that they are fully trained to perticipate meaningful in the Cooperate World.
He ended by encouraging news students to appropriately use the practical learning resources at the University.

Mr Malike Sesay – Registrar of Central University lead the subscription of aoth to matriculants.

The Students Union Government President Mohamed Chernor Kamara spoke on the dangers of students participation in groups that are not recognised and registered in the University administration.
President MCK mentioned about 10 legal, recognised and registered students groups which the News Journal was among.

At the end of the ceremony, matriculants signed the register in their respective departments.

Central University in Mile 91 is currently offering 8 courses

1: Public Health
2: Mass Communications
3: Computer Science
4: Business Information Technology
5: Renewable Energy
6: Agriculture
7: Business Administration and
8: Management
Accounting and Finance.
