Mercury International, Thursday 25th July, 2024, The Mercurybet.com FPL competition has made a triumphant return, much to the delight of football fans in Sierra Leone. The popular fantasy football game, which was put on hold for two years, has come back better than ever with some exciting new prizes up for grabs.
The fantasy league is a virtual game in which participants assemble their own team of real-life football players and compete against each other based on the players’ real performance in professional matches. In the Mercurybet.com FPL, participants can win real cash and other prizes by playing.
In his opening statement, the Managing Director, Mr. Martin Edmond Michael, welcomed and thanked fans of the Mercurybet.com FPL and the Fourth Estate for gracing the occasion. The MD clearly stated that the league is absolutely free and it’s an important aspect of it.
The prices are as follow, 1st is Hundred Thousand Leones, 2nd Sixty Thousand Leones, 3rd Fifty Thousand Leones, 4th Thirty-Five Thousand Leones, 5th Thirty Thousand Leones, 6th Twenty-five Thousand Leones, 7th Twenty Thousand Leones, 8th Fifteen Thousand Leones, 9th Thirteen Thousand Leones, and 10th Twelve Thousand Leones. 
Apart from the star prices, there are other prices like Manager of the month. The Manager of the month will win Le3, 000 for the first position and the Le1,500 for the second position throughout the FPL competition. According to the MD, he assured better FPL competition than the previous one as was promised. He also encouraged those interested to register on time. The deadline for registration is on the 19th September 2024. According to him, it’s better for someone to register from the start of the English Premier for the person not to be disadvantaged.
The league has already attracted a record number of participants, with football fans from all over the country competing against each other for the jackpot prize. The organizers are also encouraging more people to join the fantasy league and participate in the fun.
