PRESS RELEASE
The National Union of Sierra Leone Students (NUSS) is seriously concerned over the increment in mobile tariff. This is worrisome and mostly affect students in diverse ways across the larger spectrum of learning.
Moreover, this has been on the lips of all reasonable Sierra Leoneans. It has a tendency to undermine our democratic process and to deprive the citizens of this country in achieving access to information and to participate in national discussions.
As I type, letters have been submitted to the National Communication Authority (NatCA), the Ministry of Information and Communications, and Orange in order to discuss details regarding same and other significant issues.
It is our esteemed belief that they will act on this concern within a considerable time. NUSS is very hopeful that the appropriate authorities will act on this germane national concern.
HE Mohamed Rex Bhonapha
President, National Union of Sierra Leone Students (NUSS)
