By way of loudly joining the world over to celebrate this year’s Valentine’s Day, the United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone UBA-SL yesterday-Tuesday 14 February 2023 announced proud winners of the bank’s Prepaid Card Valentine’s Day Special Raffle Draw marking UBA-SL’s unique observation of this year’s Valentine’s Day.

The grand winner who loaded his UBA-SL prepaid with a balance of Twenty-Five Thousand New Leones (NLe25, 000), and above, from 1st to 13th Feb this years, Desmond Koromba Kargbo spent a night in an Executive Suit with his partner at The View Hotel. The two who loaded their cards from Ten Thousand New Leones and above each, within the same period also took a dinner with their partners at The View Restaurant around the Piano event on Valentine’s Day evening on the expense of UBA-SL.

The novelty UBA-SL Valentine’s Day Special Raffle Draw was held to register the UBA-SL’s profound appreciations to dedicated and loyal customers who warmly treasured and valued the financial service provider’s products and services, delivered to clients across the country and beyond, disclosed Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, United Bank for Africa (UBA-SL LTD), Sallieu Sesay.

He said UBA-SL is just more than a bank. “We bring smiles on the faces of our customers with so many products, facilities and services especially in the areas of maximum satisfactions, adding that the Valentine’s Day event was hosted to share love with customers.

Sesay described the UBA-SL prepaid card as a special multipurpose product and customers who loaded their cards from 1 to 13 February this qualified for the special Valentine’s Day Raffle Draw.

In an interview with journalists after the event, UBA-SL MCC Sesay explained that Valentine’s Day is a special day for their customers and for everyone which is why the bank dedicated the moment to customers who had loaded their prepaid cards from 1 to 13 February with the specific amount of cash – from Le 10,000 and Le 25,000 and above respectively, adding that the bank’s gestures show that UBA-SL also care about customers.

Desmond Koromba Kargbo, the grand winner of the UBA-SL Valentine’s Day Special Raffle Draw, who loaded his UBA-SL prepaid card with the sum of (NLe25,000) from 1 to 13 February, Hindolo Mansaray, did the same thing within the said prepaid with the sum of Ten Thousand New Leones (NLe10,000) and above. Mohamed Anthar and Mohamed Nasser who also loaded their respective UBA-SL prepaid cards with same amount and above within the specific period were respectively announced as proud winners of the various prizes at the bank’s board room on Charlotte Street in Freetown shortly after the draw, in full view of journalists and television cameras.

The various winners were informed by the Head of Customer Experience UBA-SL, Daphine Roy Johnson. She said all winners are surely going to be marketers for the bank by way of sharing their customer experiences with others to join the UBA-SL family.

Speaking via a phone call after officially announcing them winners at separate times the grand winner, Desmond Koromba Kargbo described his winning of the UBA-SL Special Valentine’s Day Raffle Draw as a fabulous and recalled that he joined the bank in 2009.

For Mohamed Anther who was the very first winner said he must consult his spouse before taking the trip out to the luxury. Other winners were also informed via their respective contacts.
