Abdulai Bah, a commercial driver has won Two Hundred and Fifty Million (Le250M Old Leones as Africell grand “Win Kopo Promotion”.
The declaration and handing over of prizes last Friday 19 May 2023 took place in boardroom, at Africell Sierra Leone Headquarters, Wilberforce, Freetown.
Abdul Bah, upon announcement as the lucky winner of the grand prize, shed tears of joy and became speechless, but however managed his emotion and thanked Africell SL for making him a millionaire overnight.
Lamin Gondor, a student at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) and Nicholas Nduku, an entertainer won Twenty- Five Thousand Leones each as runners up.
The two runners up of the win kopo promo also thanked Africell SL for their lifeless support to subscribers across the country.
“The two subscriber that won the Twenty-Five million Leones each were immediately transferred into their cell phones by the Africell SL Finance Department.
While the grand winner money sent in bits twice into his self-phone to complete the two hundred and fifty million Leones. The company informed the grand winner that such an amount takes time for the system to work on.
In her opening statement, Africell SL Events Manager, Nancy L. Toure disclosed to journalists that Africell SL / Afrimoney SL are changing the lives of people every-day.
She said as company, they have different design to give back to their subscribers, and informed that another promotion is on the way.
Head of Marcoms, John Konteh said from time to time they shall hosting promotions as a way of given back to Africell SL subscribers, citing the annual Ramadan shows where many had won prizes.
He revealed that they are going to launch the win korpor promotion and give prizes to winners.
According to Konteh, the promotion is tie to the purchase of an airtime, which he said will qualifies subscribers to win daily, weekly, and monthly grand prizes.
He disclosed that with Afrimoney, subscribers can buy credit EDSA and use merchant payment to pay for any goods and services.
John Konteh said with the daily draw, subscribers can win three hundred Leones, Six Hundred Leones for the weekly draw while the monthly draw stands at Three Hundred Million Old Leones to grab.
The Chief Cooperate Affairs Officer, Joe Abass Bangura presented the prizes to the three lucky winners and also launched the second phase of the “Win Kopo Promotion” For Three Hundred Million Old Leones.
