Sierra Leone International footballer, Alex Bangura has signed for Championship side Middlesborough in a four-year deal.
The 24-year old left-back joined the Teesside club from Dutch side SC Cambuur where he made over 100 appearances for his formal club. He became Middlesborough 12th singing of the season.
The addition of Bangura to the Middlesborough squad will be a big boost for the team, because he will brings a lot of experience and he is a kind of versatile player who can play at the left-back or left-wing back and can even play as a central defender. He is also known for his pace, dribbling skills and cross ability even in at long range.
He started his football career in the youth set-up in the Netherland with DRL before joining the youth academy of feyenoord. He had played for the Dutch club from U18 to U21 level before joining SC Cambuur on a permanent deal.
Bangura has five caps under his belt for the Sierra Leone National team and he is looking forward to getting more caps for the Leone Stars.
According to the Head Coach of Middlesborough, Michael Carrick, they are excited to have him. This is a great singing for the team. Alex is a good character with a great personality and he won’t have any problem fitting into the group, he said.
