Dr Bangura Appreciates Bo and Pujehun for Warm Reception

Dr Ibrahim Bangura, leader of the DIB Movement and flagbearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress, has expressed deep appreciation to the people and stakeholders of Bo and Pujehun Districts for what he described as a warm and inspiring during his recent visit.

In a statement issued on April 12, 2026, Dr Bangura said the extended to him and his team reflected unity, generosity, and a shared desire for development. He noted that engagements across both districts were productive and encouraging, strengthening his confidence in the country’s collective future.

 

He highlighted his interaction with members of the All People’s Congress in Bo City as meaningful, pointing out that the discussions focused on party unity and national progress. He also praised the reception in Jendema, where he and his team were welcomed by the Paramount Chief P C Mustapha Jenje Massaquoi III, along with sub chiefs and residents of Sorogbeima Chiefdom. According to him, the hospitality demonstrated by the people symbolized a strong spirit of togetherness.

 

Dr Bangura further commended the women of Fairo Village, especially the Female Farmers Network, for what he described as a colourful and impactful engagement. He said their dedication to community development was commendable and emphasized the importance of supporting women who are actively contributing to local progress.

 

He also extended gratitude to the Women of Wanjama in Pujehun Town for their outstanding and commitment to empowering women. He noted that the sod turning ceremony for the proposed Women’s Village marked a significant step toward improving the lives of women in the area. He added that being part of such an initiative was both an honour and a responsibility.

 

The DIB Movement leader did not overlook the role of traditional authorities in fostering unity and cooperation. He acknowledged the engagement with Paramount Chief Andrew Ibrahim Jalloh Kaikai of Kpanga Chiefdom, describing the discussions as open and constructive. He said such collaboration between leadership structures is vital for sustainable development.

 

Dr Bangura stated that the visit had reinforced a shared vision of unity, development, and inclusive progress. He stressed that meaningful change can only be achieved when communities work together with a common purpose.

 

He reaffirmed his commitment to continue engaging with citizens across the country, noting that listening to the concerns of the people remains central to his leadership approach. He added that partnerships with local communities and stakeholders would play a key role in advancing development initiatives.

 

He concluded by thanking the people of Bo and Pujehun for their kindness, support, and belief in a better future. He reiterated the guiding principle of his movement, calling on Sierra Leoneans to heal, unite, and build the nation together.

 

The statement forms part of Dr Bangura’s ongoing outreach efforts as he seeks to strengthen connections with communities and promote a message of unity ahead of future political engagements.
