Family, friends and associates of the All People’s Congress (APC) Flagbearer Aspirant, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, have organized a surprise birthday celebration in his honour.
The celebration was held on Monday 21st September, 2026 at the Dovenest Event Centre, Samuel Lewis Road, Aberdeen in Freetown.
The event was held under the theme: “An Evening of Leadership, Legacy and Service.”
Dr. Bangura, who is one of the aspirants for the APC flagbearer position ahead of the 2028 general elections, was reportedly surprised by the gathering organized by his close associates.
Sources close to the family said the event was meant to celebrate his birthday and to recognize his contributions to public service and his ongoing engagements with Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad.
The ceremony was attended by family members, friends, political associates and supporters. The dress code for the event was navy blue and white.
The invitation was described as personal, non-transferable and confidential and was strictly by invitation only.
Dr. Bangura is known for his campaign message of “Heal, Unite, Build” which has formed part of his engagements across the country and in the diaspora.
The event included the cutting of a birthday cake and presentation of gifts.
