A Historic Day for the APC in Kono District – Kono Has Spoken, The Grassroots Have Been Heard!
History was made in Kono District today, Friday 25th September 2026, as Dr. Ibrahim Bangura (DIB), the people’s choice and leading flagbearer aspirant for the 2028 political dispensation, donated 20 brand-new motorbikes to APC constituency Chairladies and Chairmen across the district alongside hundreds of bags of rice and other relief items.
In what party members described as a historic and unprecedented show of grassroots love, the APC Kono District Office in Koidu City was filled to capacity with constituency leaders, women leaders, youth, elders and supporters who came to witness a moment of true leadership.
This is not just a donation – it is a revolution for grassroots empowerment! The motorbikes will now power constituency executives to reach every village, every chiefdom, every corner of Kono where APC lives.
Addressing the jubilant crowd, DIB declared:
“These motorbikes are for you, the Chairladies and Chairmen who work day and night in the villages. This is to make your work easier as you mobilize for the APC. A strong party must be built from the grassroots!”
Madam Alice Totor, Chairlady for Tankoro Chiefdom, with tears of joy said: “For years we walked miles to mobilize our people. Today, DIB has answered our prayers. This will change how we work on the ground.”
The APC Kono District Chairman hailed the intervention as “timely, historic, and a practical solution to real grassroots problems.”
