The Ambassador Extra-ordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh, has said that the ongoing technical training on the use of the Saudi-Musaned Recruitment Portal is an opportunity for young people of Sierra Leone to get employment opportunities in the Kingdom.

Ambassador Jalloh made the statement at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Freetown during the opening ceremony of the technical training on the use of the Saudi-Musaned Recruitment Portal.

The training seeks to help licenced private recruitment agencies to familiarize themselves with the Portal and how to use it in their overseas recruitment processes.

*“ I will strongly advise all recruitment agencies to upgrade their capacity in order to confront any future challenges. Agencies should have standard training manuals to qualify and certify the prospective employees, because they are the guarantors of anyone they deploy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,*” Ambassador Jalloh said.

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh assured that the Embassy would always be available to do the needful and ensure that Sierra Leoneans, especially young people, get the needed employment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In his statement, the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Honorable Alpha Osman Timbo, encouraged the agents to pay attention and make the best use of the training.

He encouraged the participants to ask as many questions as they can so that they can be clear on what to do in the portal because they have much to benefit from it.

After the training, the Saudi Recruitment Portal would give access to accredited overseas recruitment agencies in Sierra Leone to directly interface and interact with accredited recruitment agencies in Saudi Arabia. The process is monitored by Musaned to ensure that both parties do not default.
