H.E. Wang Qing, Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone on the 28th of January 2023 witnessed a friendly football match between Sino-Sierra Leone Alumni Association (SISLAA) and the Chinese community in Sierra Leone at the National stadium in Freetown.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Wang firstly extended his New Year wishes to everyone, saying in the past years, under the strategic leadership of the two Heads of State, the cooperation between China and Sierra Leone has reached a new level in various fields, and the traditional friendship between the two countries has been consolidated and the practical cooperation has been fruitful.
He also expressed appreciation to SISLAA for promoting the development of China-Sierra Leone relations over the past decades since its establishment, and hoped that the members of SISLAA would make greater contributions to enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries.
Ambassador Wang also kicked off the match together with Dr. Alfaeus Koroma, President of SISLAA. It was an exciting football encounter between the two friendly sides
