Sierra Leonean Sensational Forward Augustus Kargbo has signed for Italian Serie C team Cesena FC from FC Crotone in a three-year deal.
The 24 year old Sierra Leoneans forward who had his debut for the Sierra Leone national side, Leone Stars, on 6 October 2021, in a friendly encounter with South Sudan in Morocco, started his professional career in the Italian fourth-tier side Campobasso and later join Serie B club FC Crotone in the summer of 2018.
Kargbo will wear the number 10 jersey for his new club. Before he signed for Cesena FC, there were a lot of teams in Europe that had expressed interests in the signature of the 24 year old including one of the giant clubs in Italy football Juventus.
According to Cesena FC website, the team is delighted to announce the signing of Augustus Kargbo from Crotone FC in a three-year contact.
According to Augustus after departing with Crotone FC, he thanked the Coach, Players and technical staffs for the time and said it was an honour to wear the Crotone jersey.
‘I thank the club, the coaches and all the technical staff in the past and present, the directors, team mangers, physiotherapists, warehouse workers, press officers, and all those who work behind the scenes for this club,’ he said.
