As the 2023 general elections is just a skip to catch, International IDEA will today 8th June 2023 bring together heads of Elections Management Bodies (EMB) such as the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone, Political Parties Regulation Commission, the Judiciary, Sierra Leone Police, the Office of National Security, National Elections Watch, Civil Society Organizations and the media.
Information reaching this medium has it that IDEA is expecting the media and CSOs to pose burning and critical questions to the EMB that will proffers answers to the many rumours and misinformation roaming the four corners of the country.
The election preparedness conference will also serve as a suitable platform for elections management bodies to set the records straight thereby allay the fear of citizens as the country countdown to polling day.
