FAO, Partners, Sierra Leone Strengthen Ties

As part of lined activities marking his week-long working visit to Sierra Leone, the Food and Agricultural Organisation -FAO’s Sub-Regional Coordinator for West Africa and the Sahel region, Dr. Robert Guei Gouantoueu, has last Thursday, 28th September, 2023, held fruitful engagements with the European Union Delegation in Sierra Leone, the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank.

Earlier last week, Dr. Guei paid a courtesy call on the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Sierra Leone, Dr. Babatunde A. Ahonsi, the World Food Programme Country Director, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Minister of Lands, Housing and Country Planning, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Manu River Union Secretariat among others.

He also met with the Irish Ambassador, as part of continued efforts to strengthen mutual working relationships, and discussed possible areas of collaboration and support to FAO’s strategic objectives.
