The management and staff of Heroes Magazine organized their company’s launch, award ceremony, and dinner at the Bank Complex Kingtom, Freetown. 25 Awards were rigorously prepared for the qualified nominees which include Ministers of Government, Diplomats, Managing Directors from private institutions, and governmental organizations in the country.However, thirty-five categories were enlisted as different categories for the nominees. The award process to determine winners of the different categories was determined by the Google platform voting, merits, and contributions to national duty and responsibility to humanity and society.

Moving forward, Dr. Ekundayo Walton Gilpin won the “Most Influential Banker of the Year,” His Grace, Bishop (Dr) Frederick Sidikie Abu Koroma bagged with Social Justice Award which according to the Chief Executive Officer of Heroes Magazine said the award was per God’s divine providence the man of God has for God’s flocks. “You may not know how you have impacted the lives of the people you’re serving, and those out there, your indelible compassion, generosity, extraordinary kindness, and thirst for equality have been acknowledged and two Sierra Leonean Bishops including you were nominated for this award, but your votes, and research surpassed your counterparts,” he said. The CEO also lamented that the magazine is primarily established to identify those who have solemnly taken it upon themselves to serve humanity in the best possible regardless of their status in the society they live in. He also defined social justice as the distribution of wealth, equality, political rights, social rights, and opportunities to everyone, despite the person’s condition in society. ‘He or she must have a share of equality and justice.’ Mr. Mohamed Fuad Dabor is the Director General of NASSIT, he was awarded an ‘Outstanding Leadership award,’ the award is the result of his trustworthiness, commitment, and methodological and strategic leadership approach in the institution which has been a basket for pensioners. Mr. Abdulai Caulker is the Head of National Security in the country he was also awarded the Lifetime Leadership Award due to his passion, hard work profound faithfulness, and commitment to promoting security so everyone can live in a peaceful atmosphere this is evidenced by August 10 and the 2023 election period.

Notwithstanding, the other awardees are Mr. Mohamed Alhajie Samoura the Newly Approved Managing Director of UBA who bagged the “Excellent Banker of the Year Award,” Brookfields Hotel was also recognized as the “Hotel of the Year”  Ms. Theodore Mensah won in the category of Successful Entrepreneur of the Year she is the Chief Executive Officer of Shikagold a newly approved cosmetology college in Freetown. Tyrillia Gouldson won the Successful Model of the Year. PC Koblo Queen Kabia II from Marampa Chiefdom also bagged Paramount Chief of the Year due to his contribution to education, health, and agriculture. Heroine Distinguished Service Award was given to Jalikatu Amy Mustapha a Sierra Leonean American who has engaged her life in the philanthropy and entrepreneurship program equipping young people to fit into the new society of global competition of technology.

In conclusion, the awardees of Heroes Awards 2023 have a solid track record of resilience, passion, hard work, faithfulness, and commitment in their different fields of specialty.
