The office of the President has released a notice to the appointment of a new chief Justice. According to the notice that was dated on the 7th December, 2023, Hon. Justice Nicholas Browne-Marke is the new Chief Justice.
This came as a result of the absence of the former Hon. Chief Justice, Chief Justice Desmond Babatunde Edwards.
The statement states: “I write to inform you that in the absence of the Hon. Chief Justice (who has proceeded on leave), it has pleased His Excellency the President to appoint you as Chief Justice of the Republic of Sierra Leone….”
