UBA, SLCB, Others Ease Traveling Challenges

United Bank Africa Sierra Leone together with Ecobank and Sierra Leone Commercial Bank have eased traveling in and out of Sierra Leone for nationals and non-nationals.

Passengers on departure or arrival on the shores of Sierra Leone from other countries can now make payment for Airport Security Fees of $25 through the above-mentioned banks branches within their respective areas and mobile money accounts, that must be completed within 24 hours before departure or arrival.

With once passport and plane ticket, passengers can majestically proceed to any of the above-mentioned banking institutions and makes payment for their Airport Security Fees.

The service requires the passenger to inform the cashier/teller that he or she wants to pay their mandatory Airport Security Fees.

According to source, the cashier or teller will direct the passenger to fill out a designated deposit slip form with legibly information of the passenger passport number and flight date, and after pay the stipulated amount.

After the payment, the passenger will receive a deposit slip/receipt, which he/she will have to present to Immigration Officers when entering the airport.
