Sackey made this disclosure during the government’s weekly press briefing on Tuesday, 12th September, 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation Conference Room on Tower Hill, Freetown.

He said WASSCE papers have already been marked, trying to match them up with the universities’ academic year for potential students, adding that his ministry will embark on bringing dropouts back to school, promote girl child education and of the physically challenged.

The minister said the ministry has secured $73.7 million from the World Bank, while another $900,000 has been approved by the World Bank for the payment of performance-based financing for 5,000 schools.
