TAMARANEH DISTRIBUT MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO OLA DURING, PCMH and CONNAUGHT

The Management of Tamaraneh Charity Organization has on Tuesday 7th March 2023 made donations of medical equipment worth thousands of United States Dollars to patients at the Ola During Children’s, Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (PCMH) and Connaught Hospital in Freetown Intensive Care Units (ICUs) in Freetown.

Items distributed by the humanitarian organization including six electrically operated beds, fifteen mattresses and assorted medical consumables for patients at Ola During Children’s hospital in the east of Freetown and four beds with four mattresses along with medical consumables also doled out to hospitalized patients at the Connaught Hospital in central Freetown.

Handing over the gift items including ultramodern medical equipment and consumables (aprons, gloves, catheters, facemasks, face shields etc.) TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION Ma Ibrahim Sorie Sesay informed that his organization has for the past fifteen years been making donations of medical equipment to health facilities in the country. He disclosed plans by TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION to do more donations in the nearest future.

Ibrahim Sorie Sesay extended their sincere gratitude and appreciations to Rhonda, Pontypridd and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board for their continuous support with the donation of the medical equipment, medication and consumables to the people of Sierra Leone.

He profusely thanked TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION Board of Trustees, Jan and Em of the community offices in Church Village and Julie Amy and Bryan of the General Office, YCC Hospital. Sesay also thanked Nicola, Ian Darwin, Paula, Janine and Sue of YCR Hospital.

“Our appreciations are also extended to our regular cash donors with special thanks to a philanthropist, Alhaji Kawusu Kebbe, whose contributions are critical in the shipment of the donated items”, he said.

He also recognised co-opted members in Sierra Leone especially, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Sesay and Dr Thaim Buya Kamara for playing an important role in the distribution of the medical equipment.

Board Member of TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Sesay informed all that the medical items are meant for the needy at the Ola During, PCMH and Connaught hospitals. He said that the organization is a charitable one and prayed for more to happen in the future.

Receiving the donated equipment, Medical Superintendent at the Ola During Children’s Hospital, Dr. Ayeshatu Mustapha reassured the TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION that the equipment of six electrically operated beds, the fifteen mattresses and medical consumables will be used at the ICU. She underscored the significance of the mooch beds in the areas of providing the appropriate cares for patients saying, “We are really grateful for this donation”.

Dr Mustapha described TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION as a household name. “We have been receiving donations of medical equipment from the TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION for almost ten years”, she recalled, and registered their profound gratitude and appreciations to the organization for their relentless support to the medical facility and the country’s needy health sector. “We are grateful, definitely all the items, the consumable, the beds, the mattresses will be used for the intended purposes for the benefits of patients”, she reassured TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION.

Similar presentation was also made at the country’s major medical referral facility where Dr Mohamed Bawoh of the Connaught Hospital also reassured the TAMARANEH RHONDDA CHARITY ORGANIZATION that the equipment will be used for hospitalized patients.
